Never use one anally
Unless it has a genuinely flared base, an egg must not be used anally. A retrieval cord is not enough, and this is how people end up in an emergency department.
Check the cord before every use
Look at where the cord joins the body of the egg. Any fraying, stretching or separation means retire it.
Do not sleep in one
Wear it for a session rather than overnight, and remove it if you notice cramping, soreness or numbness.
Removal is calm, not forceful
Bear down gently and ease the cord. If it feels stuck, relax, add lubricant and wait rather than pulling hard.

Not in the vagina. It is a closed space, so nothing can travel beyond the cervix, and a retrieval cord makes removal simple. The anus is different, which is why an egg without a flared base must never be used anally.
Can I wear one in public?+
Many people do, which is much of the appeal of remote models. Choose a quiet one, start on a low setting, and be aware that some remotes have limited range through clothing and bags.
Will I feel much from vibration internally?+
It varies considerably. Internal vibration alone is enough for some people and not for others, which is why many pair an egg with external stimulation.
Is it safe to use with a menstrual cup or IUD?+
